Hello, It is was difficult to get a profile view to look right for a 41 Chevy Coupe. The cab just did not look as if it belonged to the rest of the body. So, many erasures later, even with some detailing, the cab top got lowered and lowered until it looked like a creepy crawler. Now, it was time to go back up to stock and see which top fit the best with the stock body, which looked good from the start. Adding other colors did not make a difference as it was the overall shape of the body and top angle structure. Sorry, GM designers, to my old eye, it was off a little. Art always makes proportions in real life a “little off.” Jnaki So, I added and subtracted until I was able to come up with this version: A slight chop, lowered rake and dark paint. Not a deep black, but a variation of mild Charcoal. The lighter, brighter paint colors did not make the coupe look aggressive enough for a mild custom… YRMV Also, the rear fender skirts can be removed, so the rear flames would not overburden the look of a cool cruiser. Then, it would show the custom chrome wire wheels to full size viewing, all around.
Happy FAS folks Some more stuff from when youth was taken for granted. Flyer artwork. T-shirt design. Cartoon from Street Rodder Magazine.
Just fooling around with my favorite painting, why not put something cool on the background? Don't mind the bad photoshop.
I doubt this would be called "art" I did this in drafting class when the teacher had bored me to tears.
