OT trucks. Let's see them!

Discussion in 'Off Topic Hot Rods & Customs' started by pigIRON63, May 19, 2024.

  1. OT or not, I'm a truck guy. I grew up on the farm and trucks were for work and acted like it. :) There was a period in my younger years when I was not with a truck. That got remedied and I've had trucks for 50 straight years. :) Sometimes as many as 4 at a time. :)

  2. Here are some of mine over the years.....

The Stakebody started life as a 1974 3+3 single wheel that I built from the frame up with an 84 cab & custom build extension, 89 front end with a Ford bumper & an extension of the rear frame. I put 850,000+ miles on it.:D

The 97 Sierra I still use as my winter beater (drove it today) 650,000+ miles on it.

The 97 S-10 I also built from the frame up as it was hit so hard I started with a new frame, it only had a few miles on it when I bought it. LOTS of subtle mods most folks missed when they looked at it.

Last pic is me showing the Ford guys what real trucks look like! My current transport trucks.

    God Bless & Merry Christmas

Here's my 85, 454, T400, Gearvenders. Bought in 2000 with just over 50k miles, now has 92k. It has always been used as a truck and camper hauler. 20200904_141129.jpg 20200613_130420.jpg

Some of my OT trucks (please delete if too far OT)
97 F350 diesel, love it for towing the car trailer. At least 461,000 miles on it. (rolled back to 300,000 when it went past 399,999, bought with 350,000 so who knows) Happens to be on trailer here when the IDM died. Resized952020092295122045.jpg 66 N600 Ford, needed a bunch of fill sand, was cheaper to buy a truck ($700) and haul myself.
(lets not discuss insurance and licensing costs since, lol)
Resized952018071495165118.jpg 67 Jeep M715 (military) That's a full pallet load of shingles in the back with probably 8 rolls of tar paper. Never steered better but tires were probably 20 years old then, that scared the hell out of me.
Resized9520069599517959595959595950001.jpg 88 C70 boom truck. Wife bought it for tree trimming on our property.

My old 98 Dodge doing its thing. Last of the 12 valves, cam plate and governor spring kit, extrude honed injectors, 4" exhaust and a beefed trans. She tugs pretty good. Bringing the Willys home, first time to the track, at Bremerton, hauling good friend Mike's new purchase, and lastly hauling home1.jpg willystrailer.jpg willysbrm1.jpg vtmk1.JPG vtmk3.JPG gmc17.jpg gmc18.jpg my "fixed income project" [I retire in July] 68 GMC.

  17. I added another one to the fleet yesterday. I will sell the 97 Sierra for cheap to maybe a teen or someone who goes around picking up scrap locally.

'08 Avalanche that was done by Southern Comfort before it was sold new. This will be my daily starting about March 1st.

    God Bless

Nice, Bill! I like the fade paint jobs Southern Comfort did.
