    I got the firewall back from paint and the feet back from the chrome shop today.

    The color really pops in these black and white photos....haha

    Guess I was wrong! Firewall is not chrome. :(

    I'm stumped. I figured it would be chrome and the car color.

    I admire people who get color theory and what compliments what.

    It's going to look great if it's lavender, maybe off white pearl, silver, etc.
    Only thinking a warmer color could set the motor up to be a little more "seen"

    I'm thinking it would look great painted a couple shades darker lavendar than the engine

  23. I like the B&W photos, but I'm still not sure how the firewall is finished.

    I read on the Ford Barn that guys were using stove black polish on rubber running boards, so I gave it a try. I first cleaned the running board using a fine stainless wire brush, masked off the sheetmetal and started applying the polish

    Curious to know how well the stove black holds up, certainly looks good after applying. That could be helpful for all kinds of old rubber stuff. I've never even heard of that product before, now I kinda want to try it.
