Folks Of Interest The Search: 1931 Ford Model A 3 Window

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Retson the Racer, Jan 27, 2025.

  1. I'm on the trek of re-discovering Sam Bergman's 1931 3 Window Coupe. It was alleged to be one of Edsel Ford's personal cars. Sam discovered the car parked on the side of the street in San Francisco, CA.

The beach was last known to be seen in San Diego sometime in the 1990s, and in Long Beach in 1975.

That is when the history stops. Since that meet, no one has known the location of that car.

So far it's had three license plates:
    LEG126
    UPC743
    OLD817

Does anyone recall any information about the car? 473724633_1369404307767610_7473380571187545391_n.jpg

Thats a good lookin car. Was it a slant window too, or just open a bit in the pic?

  3. There were both standard and slant versions believe it or not! The first is from the Ford Archives, the second is the car from above parked outside Obsolete Ford Parts

Interesting that the slant version does not have the smooth 32ish header over the windshield, and yet not the standard 31 car visor either. Thanks for the info.
