What up pricks? I'm good, had to put the phone down and have a break lol. I've not done much to my car, customer stuff comes first, and there isn't enough hours in the day, this dark at 5:30 shit is for the birds. I did finish one of the bucket seats. Cut down the back and did diamonds with orange thread. Gonna be a LOT of diamonds to sew this winter. I bought 10 yards of black vinyl, and I'm hoping it's enough! Thanks for the phone calls and texts guys. 20241104_105330.jpg

But won't that seat leave diamond imprints on your ass? The chicks will really dig that.

    Looks great though.

    Welcome home Kotter...

  6. Thats why you only let chicks ride if they're wearing fishnets. Then you can blame it on the fishnets. Lol

Welcome back. I guess it's only fair that you call us pricks. I know I don't like to be a prick, but I've been told that I am very good at being one. Keep on keeping on. And just like everyone telling you how to build it, we'll wait until you have a ton of time and effort into the interior before we tell you how you should have done it.

It's only a problem when your girl friend is too hairy for them:eek:

I'm impressed at how different the seat looks with the hi back removed.

Me too @Lloyd's paint & glass,

Did you take pix of how you rebuilt the seat frame when you removed the top section?

Hey Mike  no sir I didn't. When the foam came off the seat back, there's a 1" pipe that makes the radius you see on the cut down version. The high back section is sheet metal, all i did was follow the radius along that pipe with the cutoff wheel. It's kinda like they made a high back seat out of a low back seat, and i just reversed it lol. I'll take pictures when I do the other seat.

Not a lot to report. I cleaned up the frame rails before I put the pans in, painted them with some rustoleum and a brush, still gotta do to l the toe boards. Switched the transmission, put the M20 in. Even though I've already put the crossmember in for the ladder bars, I'm having 2nd thoughts. Thinking about cutting it all back out, and going leaf spring. Part of what I like about looking at my car is those shackles. Just seems to fit the look better. 20241201_161333.jpg 20241201_161339.jpg

Lloyd, if you end up with leaf springs, relocating them under the frame is possible. I know there's a kit, but you might not need it with those wheel openings. A set of Cal Tracs would let it hook up.

No it's all together currently with the leaf springs, plus my replacement rear end is 1" wider on each side. No clearance issues at all. And I'm not really tore up about hooking up, I like burning tires lol, but I don't like wheel hop. This car has some Frankenstein looking leaf bundles, thinking about taking some out and retaining the coilover setup. But nothing is chiseled in stone yet. It has 7 leaves. Made out of multiple sets of main leaves that he cut the eyes off of.

Is this a target for competition? Your progress is inspirational. I know what it’s like when the plan changes and there is inevitable delays as you second guess your decision. Like others I’m sure your car will be top notch no matter how you choose to build it.
