Yesterday Oskar sandblast honda monkey and 5w coupe parts.
I "drop my bodyrack 3,5cm. Now it comes out from garage (too low doorholes and too small garage, but enough form small hot rods).

Today, early morning, I sprayed Epoxy primer few parts. Outside -8dec Celcius, in Tent +12 dec Celsius.

Afternoon we spray Honda Monkey parts. SemiGloss black.
Oskar can study himself how to use spray gun

Saturday 4th of January. I made holes floorpanels. if rainy, good to have holes end of all floorpanel bendings.
7hours sand top, it takes so much energy. Maybe 2days more and body is ready for epoxy primer. Top need to putty over because is is less or more like "potato sack". I have give very much heat, hammer it, but still has small wave. Easier make it good putty it twice over.

Still need to install hinges and doors. I want to see that cap between door and body is Ok.

Tuesday 7th of Jan I continued painting. 1,5litre Epoxy primer to doors and small parts.
Panel below trunk lid is new UP part. I didnt putty it. Just sand and sprayed epoxy.
Today I tested how good it is. Plane + abranet 240 --> I note that all upper and lower corners are too low, so, all new sheetmetals (even pressed stuff) need to putty before primer. Today I increased epoxy, hope that is enough and not need to putty later before filler painting.

I'm interested to know how you can paint in a tent when it's cold enough for there to be snow on the ground! Do you have special paints that will dry at such temps in Finland? Are their special techniques in application? What about humidity? Genuinely interested as I'm in the UK, we currently have snow on the ground, and I have painting to do!! I've not seen any paints that can be applied below 5 Celsius, but I haven't looked around much admittedly.

  7. I think that infrared heaters provide additional heating that generates heat, and that works.
I have a 3m x 3m party tent, that I heat with an 8 KW auxiliary heater and infrared heater, and that works very well.

Don´t be worry. about my paintjob, I know what Im doing. I know Your weather there. In England humidity is 90 (fog, rainy, windy, smog,... all that shit weather + too many those hang a round dudes everywhere) You know that we are not near sea, humidity is very low here nearly always (summer, spring, winter) Winter, when minus decrees (celsius), humidity is super low. If You go to Lapland, there is -30dec and weather is not feel very cold, but in England, Norway + decrees, or minus and very high humidity --> Feels that You die that cold weather.
It feels fucking cold when air is wet!!!

Winter when humidity is low, houses are super dry here. In my house is 30-35 and that is too low. That´s why I use Humidier inside.
(Relative humidity is the most common. It is a percentage number that expresses how much water vapor is in the air compared to what can be at most as water vapor at that temperature.)

I have +13 - +14dec inside tent!!!. Industry Epoxy primer can be painted near zero dec. I have worked in industry before I falled down 9meters , So I know what I do.
These are hardstuff !!! Not for street rodders - Only for real Hot Rodders.
When I was working outside for example in North-East where they have very much snow and colder than here Middle-Finland. -20dec Celcius - -30dec Celcius not feel bad there. You can work outside easily all days. You cant do that near sea even there is not so cold weather.

Yes, I know there is many different heaters. my 9kw electiric heater is very good. Also have small propaine heater, even not need that. In garage I have floor (electric) heating and of course inside there +17dec all the time around Year.
My money won´t run out about electric costs or gasoline. 8cents kw/h, I heat the sauna every evening (2hours 6kw).... Gasoline is very cheap. 1,60euro/litre - 1,80euro/litre. They say here, gasoline is so expensive, I say them, sell Your car if You dont have money to drive it.

You can loose Your money for :
    -Horses
    -Race cars
    -Lotto or other games
    -alcohol
    -Women

Auliz is right. When its -20 or more the humidity goes super low when the air is heated. I live in N. Ontario where it is similar mid winter with -20F to -40F. We built a new office where coming out of -30 the eyeglasses would fog up coming into 72F then instantly clear. It turned out the humidity was super low at less than 20 percent so humidifiers where installed. Where I am in the north winter sets in about November and starts to lift in April. One has to be creative to work through winter otherwise it would be impossible to get anything done. You have to do what you have to do to get things done.
My partners and I built a 4 seat airplane over 10 winters including painting. Sometimes it including routering aluminum outside at -20 or better as the noise is horrific or routering mdf wood patterns was too dusty. Down parka and 100 below boots help. We stopped working on the airplane at the end of May and pick it up again after Labour Day. Summers are precious.

Tomorrow paint epoxy small parts like: Garnish mouldings, windshield frame, grill shell, ....

    Can somebody help me?
I need to buy one used led-taillight from ebay. there is few seller who has those used lights, but nobody want to send internationally. I buy stuff from ebay, it´s rare that nobody want to send box to Internationally.
I was sent them message, but they are not interested in ship to Finland.

Next seacontainer is loaded begining of February, ETA in Helsinki is begining of April +10-20days... that is too far for me.

If somebody can help so that I can buy stuff from Ebay, sent it to your address and You change label and send it to Finland. Sometimes they are use too big boxes, maybe need to "minimize" box. Good size for UsPs price is 20cm x 30cm x 600cm . I pay shipping costs from there to Finland. Yesterday I check in Usps website, price for normal person is around 120usd , companies can have better deal.

Today they have small Winter Swapmeet here in Seinäjoki. Few friends, American car owners are normally visit in my garage too. When I sold hot rod parts (13-14years) I had same time "open house", coffee, cookies etc.
When Fireplace is ready and I can close flue, I continue batterybox. Oskar is come too. We got new piston rings to Honda Monkey Z50J engine. He can learn when we put engine together, check cam timing etc. After that he can start to put Monkey together. We have painted (2K PPG) sidepanels, front end. Earlier he blasted and painted small parts semi gloss black 2K.

2days, 12hours exhaust tubes are ready welded and installed. Friday-Saturday I drive down to Tampere. Our company has workers "job wellness" days.

Its nice to built when have all small stuff very much own stock. I have overordered stuff what I think to need.
Yesterday made small under 100usd order to Rockauto. Ready braketubes, new bendix brakes wheelcylinders... I have old cylinders and rebuilt kits, but new ones are so low price in rockauto.

exhaust tubes, curves total +100euro (+100usd). Swedish Biltema is lowprice place. Those tubes are good quality and low price. Once again I bought too many different angle curves, but maybe I need those when built next car (1955 cameo carrier). Oskar 3D print new key fob, looks that youngman is interested in vehicles... :)

Miss Paula called. She is making interiors. I had 2 x brown cow hide, she ordered pearl gold leatherette.
She started to make panels ready. Doorpanels, rear wall, top, seat are increased pearl cold truck n roll pattern.
I drive her place on Monday and pick up seat. She told that rest spring pattern is too big. Not looks harmonius.
I "cut and paste" lower part of spring pattern.

Friday - Sunday I was on the way. Monday I was drive to see my upholsterer. I moved seat bottom springs 3" frontway. Now looks better, Miss Paula can make seat ready.

Today I removed all stuff from frame. Also made new column tube. I had old Maybe late 30´s tube on stock. Just cut it to right lenght and made hole for column drop steering lock.

Note, Oskar was made in their handcraft lesson in basic school (metalworks) chopper bike. He told its very good to drive... maybe I belive him :)

Tomorrow need to weld and sand frame also I need to change 20litre Argon bottle (140euro), buy 10litre tinner, 5litre brakleen,.... Thursday I paint frame, end of week I need to paint Rear axle, driveshaft, tranny, engine.
One time paint: acid primer + 2K acryl.

Today welded frame, grinded and little putty to those places where corrosion dents.
I change rear taillights to 1941 Grimes landing lights. Brackets are fourty ford brakehose brackets after modified.

Today arrived Rockauto shipment. Brake tubes, new wheel cylinders and some flathead spark plugs.

Argon bottle changed too. I think price is higher than last winter. 20litre bottle change to full one = 150euro (160usd). Tomorrow need to paint frame (epoxy primer), maybe small frame parts too.
