I got a schroeder box for my new build(banger Pine Tree speedster) but might be to fast ! Any ideas to calm it down Linkage maybe?
2:1 steering quickener, run backwards. I pulled the steering shaft and milled it for 3/4"-DD. The coupler goes from 3/4"-DD to the spline on the inline gear box. The remainder of the steering shaft got another coupler welded to it, and that attaches to the other end of the inline gear box. The angular pillow block interlocks with the shape of the inline gear box housing, and provides a dashboard mount. This turned 6:1 to 12:1. The car is MUCH easier to steer now.
I'm planning to graft a Model T steering column planetary gearset to my steering column to slow it down. Got the parts but haven't done anything yet.
