I just got a complete 67 thunderbird backseat and trim i want to put in my shoebox. I have seen a few out in the wild but I can't find any references on what people did to make then fit, my main question is what did you guys do to make the bottom seat cushion sit flat? And then how did u secure it. 20250202_184718.jpg 20250201_155534.jpg

'67 is part of years called 'wide body". My '51 had seats from a '62. Worked fine

How did the seat bottom mount in the T-bird ? Maybe you’ll have to recreate the mounts in the floor of Your Shoebox

  5. I call them a Seat Riser. In stock form the bottom cushion drops over a vertical ledge and snaps in place, the ledge supports the bottom edge of seat. You will have to hand build one and make sure you get it in the correct location fore and aft to put the cushion where it needs to be to engage with the seat back properly. Here's the only sample I can give you. This is a 34 Chevy with late model cushions. The seat riser is hand built and serves the same purpose your seat needs. Adapt as needed. I used 14 gauge being it's structual and there is a 1" flat surface for the cushion to set on then a full 1" drop to the back side. Makes the top ledge strong.

There’s a thread titled Thunderbird seats and another thread Thunderbird seats in a shoebox . Use the search mode to find it . You have a set of nice looking rear seats . The pictures I’ve seen online for the 67 T-bird the bottom seat has a raised area at the bottom edge in the center for clearance for the driveshaft tunnel. Yours looks to be straight across . So you’re going to have to make a panel with a lip on the top for the front edge of the seat to rest on . Have fun with your build .
