    ALBR (America’s Least Beautiful Roadster)

I think the AMBR winner this year was an amazing work of art, just not to my taste. So, I'm going in a totally different direction and initiating MY award for America’s Least Beautiful Roadster.

    Here’s the general idea.
    Points awarded for…

    An incomplete car
    Flat tires
    Mismatched wheels and tires
    No engine
    Rust
    Mouse droppings
    Cracked glass
    Peeling paint (not patina)
    Missing or dilapidated interior

Other areas will be added as needed

    My submission is attached.

    LETS SEE WHAT YOU GOT!!!

I'll submit for CLBR (Canada's Least Beautiful Roadster). It's gonna be cool soon, though.

Yeah you are right, but its not an outhouse, it was a test stand for Franklin engines that I used to own.
So I cleaned up the thread pictures a bit, because its gonna be interesting to see what gets posted here!
    Thanks from Dennis.

Aren't all roadsters beautiful even if unloved?
I'd say the ugliest roadster has a roof and 4 doors.......

I don’t see anything ugly yet. All I see is loads of potential!

I'd like to formally submit my application for the Pile of parts category
No frame yet. if i dont have a frame, i cant start working on it, and i cant start working on it until i get the current cars "done". There are front and rear axles and i did find a good pair of fenders at swap meet, no floor and the doors are just skins

I started this thread because “bought” cars don’t mean much to me. My ‘27 boattail speedster started with a Model T frame, an idea, and the desire to build up something like the speedsters my dad built during the depression.
Regardless of the beauty of the result, working in the garage, making something, doing something you love to do, is important.
Some of the results of our efforts I like, some I don’t. But I keep in mind that everyone has a different dream. That’s why our cars are so varied, and that’s part of the beauty. It’s what makes our community interesting.

So keep those old pieces of chap coming. Problem is, there’s beauty in each of them. The simple elegance of a ‘27 roadster, the utility of a Model A flat bed, or a mobile Franklin engine test stand.

Could somebody please post something less beautiful? There isn’t a clear leader for ALBR title at this point.

    Thanks for participating,
    John
