I wonder if a HAMBER from Australia could buy these bearings for me and then ship them to me in Germany. I pay for the bearings and shipping of course. Unfortunately this company onlys ships within Australia. I already inquired. I need those bearings for a Chopper spool hub wheel. It's an odd size. They are impossible to find over here. Searched the net for hours. Only found them in Australia and China. Here's the link to the shop :

I only need 2 but would take 4, just to have an extra pair. Maybe someone can help me out. Would be greatly appreciated. Details by PM. Thanks much !

I can't help directly from NZ but I have mail ordered parts from Aussie.

Try this group also in Australia [they will overseas ship]

That is an unusual bearing being metric with a 5/8 " ID [6004 bearings are 20mm ID]

If you're using these in a hub with a spacer tube why don't you make a custom spacer tube [5/8" ID with a 20mm shoulder to locate the bearings]
Then you can use off the shelf 6004 bearings

A spacer tube would cost less than the shipping

Thank you so much Kerrynzl ! Really appreciate your help !

I gotta admit I already was on their site and had the bearings in the basket already, only to find out the online shopping works for Australia only. I didn't realize you still could inquire to ship overseas by mail or phone. So I meanwhile did and now wait for their reply. I will update my post once I hear back from them. Thanks MUCH again !! :)

    Thanks much again everybody !

I meanwhile heard back from the guys at Fallshaw. The shipping to Germany is $197 for 4 bearings...that's insane. I can't do that. There will be custom fees on top. I think I rather would make some bearing adapters, which make me able to use a 6202-2RS bearing, which is 35mm x 15,875mm x 11mm.

Thank you ! Really appreciate your help. If you see a chance to send them by a more "reasonable" rate ? :) I meanwhile found out shipping within and from to Australia is really expensive. I wasn't aware of it being so high.

Thank you ! That's the other source I found. I sent them a mail a couple days ago and meanwhile have 3 replies from 3 different vendors. Prices for 1 bearing vary from $1 to $15. Shipping varies from $28 to $50. Payment is by Western Union. Still have a weird feeling. Just like Kerrynzl said above...do I really will get the bearings ?

Eliminate the far east (for us) and concentrate on the adapter as Kerry spoke about:)

Unfortunately he needs a metric /imperial hybrid [5/8" ID]

Could one of you guys help a HAMBer in need
If I could find another supplier here in NZ I would donate the bearings

Australia Post isn't that expensive if @TheFrenZ can wait for a slower service [10 days]
It is not cool for a supplier to try and ass-rape $197 just to ship 4 bearings

    AUD $33 = $20 Euro

    Thanks again everybody !

Torana68 : Thank you so much for the help. Will get in contact if everything fails.

Kerry : Thank you so much. I really do appreciate your effort. Makes me smile. To see the shipping rates by Australia Post now hurts even more...:)
I sent another mail to Fallshaw a moment ago, asking for a less expensive shipping method. Don't know what to expect. It maybe is worth a try.

The odds are the bearings you get from Fallshaw will have been sourced from a Chinese manufacturer...might as well go there. They may take a couple weeks, but you will get them.

Just a short update...I meanwhile heard back from the guy at Fallshaw. I was asking for a less expensive shipping method,as I mentioned above. He told me I could arrange my own shipment and collect at their warehouse once the payment is received...

Luckily I meanwhile have two gentlemen offering generous help by PM. :)

It really annoys me that somebody in our part of the world is trying to rape you with shipping.
Aussies are usually pretty good [they do things like put them in smaller packages to save on freight]
I have purchased from Australia many times and always appreciate the first class service.

I found another supplier there. [out of Melbourne]

We've been buying items from McMaster-Carr in the USA and they do ship down here to Australia so I imagine that they would also ship to Germany..
This is their range of 5/8" ID bearings - https://www.mcmaster.com/products/ball-bearings/shaft-diameter~5-8/bearing-seal-type~sealed/
A "6004" search there found different shaft diameter bearings as mentioned above.

Kerry and 31 Coupe : Thanks MUCH again for your help !! :) Really appreciate it.

Like I mentioned above, I meanwhile have good people on here taking care of me and the bearings are as good as bought. So I'm a happy man and I'm very thankful for the power of the HAMB. :)

    It's all good now.
