    1954 MERCURY NOMAD WAGON upload_2025-2-7_3-35-39.png
Not the most favorite old car to make into a hot rod or custom station wagon. The 54-56 Mercury has plenty of local Long Beach memories as they were new cars during those times in the old neighborhood, when we were little kids. But a stodgy 4 door into a custom “Nomad” style station wagon? Wow, not only would it not be in 5th or 6th place in popularity rankings, but, as the early surfers needed some classy custom station wagons for their longboards, so, let’s get driving…

    Hello,

My wife and I noticed that the whole community of stores now has a RED theme. With the upcoming Valentine’s Day fast approaching, there seems to be a proliferation of “RED” items in a lot of advertising. It seems odd that within our USA proper, advertising seems to generate income from all of us. When a popular season is fast approaching, then the color of advertising changes to the appropriate color. Back in late September, early October, normally the first holiday is Thanksgiving and the fall colors should have come into play.

But, the advertisers and shops know, that Thanksgiving is a one time end of November shot and in the way of Christmas. So, what do stores and shops do? The whole thing turns into red as the principal color. Poor old Thanksgiving is a family affair and yes there is usually one teeny section for napkins or some such dinner items. But, everyone has grandma’s dinner ware and silverware, so not much is shown in the stores.

So, here we are, in the middle of Winter and things are rainy, cold or freezing. But, due to the next money making advertisement, the colorful RED comes back in play. From grocery stores to clothing stores and yes, art supplies stores now have RED as the primary color. (pun intended)

If you are out shopping your lowered rake station wagon may take on some extra rear weight and now, you can see what your custom station wagon looks like as lowered hot rod…

So, get your RED drawn artwork ready… it is one week away. YRMV

Yep, @2devilles got it right, there are 7 aliens, the one that was easily missed, was when you didnt look at the second panel closely.
It was hiding at the corner of the tail gate on the MOPAR truck, it wasn't visible in the first panel!

@rusty1 is pretty clever at hiding aliens in his superior artwork, weekly offering's

...and we've always wondered where Dennis's "over the top" creativity came from...

:):p No Brain cells were mis-used bent, broke, or busted during my post.
The purpose was to cite @41 GMC K-18 as always ( well regularly ) throwing down
the exact answer to a question that would need more than a simple YEP / NOPE
