The shop is needing hinges for a 58 to 60 and wondering if the earlier versions are the same,I know of a 55 or 56 in a local junkyard.

The late 55 & 56 with the windshield that has the dog legs (same windshield as the 58/60 truck has) uses the same cab and doors as the 58-60. A 57 has different front sheet metal, but uses the late 55-60 cab & doors.

The early 54 & 55 with the rectangle shape, curved windshield has a different cab and doors. Picture 038.jpg For picture reference, this truck is the early 54 & 55 cab. The windshield shape is the fastest way tell the difference between the different cab & doors.

The 48-53 cab was different as well, they had the split windshields.

Most junk yards have no clue what year the Dodge trucks they have are. I suspect you would at least need the same cab & doors to have the correct hinges.

    Gene nailed it.

Jeff, side note, whats wrong with the hinges that are currently there? Or are they completely missing? Most all of those trucks hinges are built very robust, only failures I have found are in the door structure itself that allow movement.

The old Hollander books would give you the best interchange, but remember, even print was wrong from time to time.
Provided they aren't bent a lot and the pins and holes aren't worn out, it might be better/easier to fix what you've got. Tolerances being what they were on old trucks, you could easily have to do some bending to get replacements to fit right. Not trying to second guess you, but old different stuff isn't always a simple bolt-on replacement.
