  14. It's a slow build, currently pushed outside so he can get a square body together for his daughter when she turns 16 this year.
I'll try and update when he does.

That El Camino almost looks like a 71 ranchero With those curves.

I kept waiting for an overrunning clutch to check out on one of the Chryslers. But those guys are nuts doing it around that much traffic.
    Cool!

Back in the late 90s, a car club I belonged to used to do burn outs as part of our car show.
We started out doing them at a designated area on a street, that was actually approved by the little town. That got out of hand the 2nd year and the town made us quite doing burn outs on the streets.
Then we moved to a city park that had a maintenance lot, and the town allowed us to do our burnouts along the side of the storage building.
The next year the burnout participants had to be registered in the show so our show insurance would cover any damage.
The next year the city set up barricades, so cars doing the burnouts were not allowed to move, and still had to be registered in our show to participate. We got away with that for a couple of years, but had to start limiting how long the guys could burn their tires.
Then, the burnout part of the show went away.

During those years in the city park, we had to add water to the burnout area to save the blacktop. We had a couple guys loose tires during their burnouts, and a couple guys that broke their cars. We had to have someone in the club stand beside the driver door to tell the guys to shut it down if the car started moving (in any direction) or if something broke. When your sitting in your car doing a stationary burn out, its pretty hard to tell if the car is moving or not! You also have no way of knowing if something in the drive train starts to go wrong. I was usually the guy that stood in the tire smoke at the driver's window, me squeezing your shoulder meant shut it down NOW. Everyone was informed of that before the first car made any smoke.
Then we had to set a time limit on the burnouts. We started at 30 seconds, make as much smoke as you could in 30 seconds. Still had guys loosing tires and breaking cars during the burnouts. We dropped it to 20 seconds and the bad things were still happening. As a club we pulled the burnouts as part of the show.

Many guys can't seem to control themselves when it comes to doing burnouts. I never had the problem, I bought my own tires, they were too expensive to waste just for putting on a show for people.
