Technical Hood ornament , what's it from?

    Fellow dropped this off a few days ago and had no idea what it was from.
    I'm planning on sanding it and then polishing it. No markings on the inside of the base. Movin/on UNknown Hood ornament.jpg

    It's going to be interesting sanding and polishing zinc plated with peeling chrome.

    Well, 24riverview posted 1935 (typo) but his picture showed 1939, verified on the web and it is a 1939. BTW thanks 24iverview !
    Tip is NOT broken it was manufactured with a blunt end, probably it would have broken off or stabbed someone during washing. (pictures attached).
    Yes, polishing with be a chore and tedious but if it turns out OK I'll be happy, it was free.
