Expand the picture and you will see them on the quarter panel, the front fiberglass clip doesn't have the holes yet.

0.jpeg I've owned four '55 Delray Chevys. First one was a beautiful black/ivory, 265 Powerglide I bought in '63. 2nd one was a East LA wrecking yard find that I built into a gasser, 3rd one was a police impound yard find that was used for parts. My current Delray is from Oregon and built in Oakland in '54. Delrays have always been my favorite 210 model.

My wife and I built this one for her to drive. We did the frame and suspension, the drive train, the body work and paint, and the interior ourselves. IMG_0365 copy-resized.JPG

I looked as you suggested before posting question. I see 210 trim and divider but no belt line. IMG_3823.jpeg

This is the way it came from the previous owner, never noticed this was missing, I figured it is a 210 because of the single piece of chrome trim going down the side, what I thought you meant by belt line
So what is this one ?

Do the quarter panel holes look punched or drilled, thinking someone added (drilled holes) 210 quarter strips to a 150.

    Hello,

When my wife saw this 1956 Chevy station wagon sitting at a curb near our floor tile warehouse location. If it were for sale, we would be out some money. It was the nicest 56 Chevy two door wagon that we had seen locally and elsewhere on our travels. The 5 spokes mags just makes the station wagon look a little racy.
upload_2025-2-10_17-58-26.png Many months later, we saw it again in another parking lot and it still looked as good as possible.

Come to find out its history, it is/was a So Cal local and the owner is well respected surfboard shaper/finisher. He makes custom wooden surfboards that are in style as riding boards or as a household wall displays. Hanging on a wall instantly makes a statement in any house as a valuable art form.

The two door Chevy wagon is styled well and is a good competitor to the well liked 56 Nomads of the time. One of my brother’s choices for our tow/push car for our finished, Willys build was a yellow 2 door station wagon. It was to be the vehicle to take us back to Detroit for the 1960 U.S. Nationals.

If we had finished the total build, it would have included the mags, the new slicks and colorful sponsor tags, Reath Automotive and Long Beach, neighborhood, Olympic Auto Parts. The yellow 56 Chevy two door station wagon would have finished the overall look for our journey across the USA. YRMV
