Day three of -30 with the wind. But only got a little bit of snow day 1 before it was too cold to give us more.

not that I enjoy it that much but it’s kinda cool that it being crazy cold this Christmas is a shared experience for nearly everyone in the US right now. Not often that your California friends are posting -10 readings on there thermometers!

...If anything it seems more normal for this rustbelt locale...hope ya'll are warm and toasty...there is a beauty to winter...as in step outside and listen to the pin drop ambience...you don't drive the Hotrod but stare at it like a barnfind in the garage sharing dust collection with all the other things within those walls...I'm lucky to have it...

@Runnin shine what is the next move on Hubba when the time comes...you've been collecting parts all along I'm sure...

In short, I be still alive. Though quality of life is completely questionable as I haven’t touched Hubba Hubba in forever, maybe a little too still. The whole story is too long winded even for me. I curtailed posting until I finished an off topic sidetrack that’s is still not done. A few others have also pushed that to the side of the track. I’ve been so scrambled I don’t even recall if I’ve did any work or gathered any bits since last around. Like Arnold , I’ll be back. I still am quite internally excited and invested in the old family sedan.
P.S. I mean no ill will to the beautiful people of Japan. I acquired this perfecto waterslide this summer for #13 back windows still to choose. Hubba Hubba is to be reflective of a specific time in a pot filled American storyline.

Hey there everyone, thanks for following along. I hadn’t realized how long it’s been since I posted something to Hubba Hubba. I knew I hadn’t touched the physical car in a few years. All of 2024 I was telling myself that I really should get back at it to finish by end of 2025. It sadly would’ve been under my knife for ten whole years by then. That’s just a pathetic performance and any one could agree. Equally as pathetic, I had lost my way for multiple reasons and multiple other smaller projects. I can’t think of any substantial ones at the moment that I actually completed either. A few are close however namely a 60s period Shovel Chopper build. Also a Vintage open class motocrosser leached far too much diverted funding away from hot rods. Both are at a “need assembly” standby right now. If you gather much from this thread then you might imagine the nerdville both those two and others have taken on. Biggest upset to H H progress besides my broken noggin currently. Has to be the revitalization of my passion for the 32 pickup. A far less pricey and time suck to complete. I can’t quite put into words where this reinvigoration is coming from. I suspect most of ya get it though. So I will pour my guts into finishing the truck as best I can until I can’t. Where for I might hopefully finish this opus type of a masterpiece the 32 1/2 Ford Lakes Tudor. Thanks for Patiently Waiting.

Coming soon to a time trials near you …

    hopefully sooner than later.

Oh, I got a WWii aircraft oxygen tank to act as a secondary petrol holding device. I need this to add in car as a removable piece just for longer planned trips. Namely Bonneville on a year not flooded.

Difficult to fault the flowing lines of the wedge chopped 33-34's, the suicide door line flows with the pillar as if meant to be...even with the vertical lines of the 32 hood/cowl/grille shell as on the 13c it's as if it were showcasing the transition from the 32-body type to the new streamline 33 as your eyes focus from front to back.................

I forgot to add, I have plans to get back to finishing the blower flange to intake fab asap. I have the Tig warm and ready to do its work when I can get to it. I recently on a whim disassembled the for carbs so I could see what condition their condition was in. I started to clean the old chrome up just enough to make them all play nice together.
    And …
Me and a friend have brainstormed a bit on how to go about making the AL unit base plate. My biggest concern is the drilling of the long holes for the butterfly shafts. I’ve even have considered the possibility of using the stock shafts to insert from each end and somehow key together with its neighbor.
    IMG_9080.jpeg IMG_9079.jpeg
A more complicated system would be two separate linkages I suppose. Where the shafts inline with one another are not linked together. With some effort I could however make separate engaged carbs open in a slight staggered fashion to fine tune tip-in response and eliminate hesitation? I just have to have that snazzy one piece base ladies and gents. More parts to polish! Will see.
