As it sits today, but 4 matching old chrome reverse wheels coming this spring.

  2. Here's a picture of the 210 I owned in the 80's. My buddy has owned it since then, painted and freshened about 15 years ago. I still like it. (I have a 56 Nomad now) IMGP2226r.jpg

I think you guys nailed it, the trim that came with the car was from a 4 door, the picture shows the part line in trim, there is also an extra hole between the hockey stick and door ?
Plan was to find the 210 2 door trim, but now ya got me thinking

Thinking? Like going 150 route rather than 210? Don’t let me sway you in any direction. Make it yours. If anything, you learned some details. This way you can explain why your 56 is trimmed out the way that it is. Simple answer to give to a Tri-Five purist that ask’s or say your car is wrong. Simple answer to give. Yes it’s a 150 with 210 trim. If it truly is a 150. This way you sound smarter than them.

Look thru your windshield trim. See which of these lower corners you have.

The "VIN" (which isn't really a VIN but basically the car's ID number) on a '56 should tell you whether it was a 150, 210, Belair, Corvette or Sedan Delivery. There's also a digit for whether it had a V8 or 6 cylinder. Interestingly enough, the ID number does not say what body style it was (4 door, 2 door sedan, 2 door hardtop, etc).

    Completely irrelevant........
I worked with a guy in the early 80's that had a son that was a pretty involved "car guy".
He heard me talking about the yellow and white 57 BelAir I had in high school and said his son was putting a 57 sedan delivery together and he had just painted it yellow and was finishing up installing the trim, said I should take a look at it because he (thought) I would love it.........I did not, it was the brightest canary yellow I had ever seen but the worst part was he had put BelAir trim on it, boy I had to bite my lip the whole time I was there.
Now I know it's been done many times but one of the things that (I) think should not be done to a 57 sedan delivery is put BelAir trim on one.

I found the windshield trim; it is 210 lower corners

I didn't find a vin tag as you described, found a body tag on the fire wall
    STYLE No 56-1011D
    BODY No 10286
    TRIM No 575
    PAINT No 707D

Looked at the title and it don't list the A and B code letters, starts at 56

Lot of sins happens to old cars over the years  learning a lot here, would love to make it the 150 but it's not in my budget, I'm not a body man and would have to pay one to weld in all the holes, since got most of the correct 2 door 210 trim except for correct rear fender trim for a 210.
I'll get the extra hole welded in, found out body style No 56-1011D means it was born a BelAir
Thanks to Johnny Gee, I can even talk smart while doing it

All '57, 210's should be "Tranzed" to a 150 just because I have lots of 150 parts to unload AND you won't have to remember any "Anniversary Day". JMO!

If we happen to be talk'n 1957's, I've flip/flopped my likes since my 57 BelAir two door hardtop days in high school, the 57 model 150 sedans, wagons/delivery styles have attracted me for a long time, I've also had a soft spot for the 57 210 hardtops (non BelAir).
The 1955 two-ten sedans are another thing, this is the car that I would have if I wasn't buried in three long term projects.

    Neat!
Is the 1/4 panel side trim you have 1” wide at the door gap or 1 1/4” wide?

I had to convince several that my ‘57 was not a Belair. They knew better.
