Slowly working to incorporate the Speedway 22 circuit kit into my '59 Custom 300. I'm stumped on the turn signal switch and how to get it wired up. Mostly my fault in that I mistakenly cut off the color coded bullets at the end of the wires when I removed everything from the car. Could use some ***istance/guidance on how to trace specific wires to match up to the GM styled kit. I'm humbled as my engineering education was focused on metals and materials and not so much on wiring/circuits. Any guidance or comments to help me understand would be appreciated. The current switch and available wires...3 Greens, 1 Orange, 1 Blue, 1 White.....I do know the other Blue is horn. Bingo! Seriously appreciate the step by step wire identification. Apologies as well as I went straight to post rather than searching up for this. Thanks.
The color codes on mine were illegible. I forget how many wires are under that steering column cover, 9 or maybe 10 with the horn wire. IIRC the horn wire was green. I made a quick chart with what I knew, which was the new harness wires. Then I took my best-guess on the TS wires. I had no battery in the car, so I used a "buzz box" to tell me I had it hooked up right.
Huge shout out to Crazy Steve....the process outlined in the How-To was spot on and my blinkies be blinkin'!!!! So very much appreciate this valuable knowledge!!!
