I always felt any car could be hotrodded. Only pre-war cars could be street rods.

  3. I searched and tried to find a picture of your rig, I bet I would love it, you promised some pictures back in a 2014, but I can’t find any. When I dream of hot rods, trucks rarely come up and dual wheels never come up. I could be converted, but in my world hot rods have dual exhaust, but not dual wheels. No stress intended.

  7. I intentionally looked for a heavy duty rear end with dual wheels because the initial idea was to use it on my farm to haul hay, horse feed, etc. A regular Model A pickup just isn't up to much true farm work. The phrase "farm rod" just seems too dissonant. I'm fine with posting on Antiquated while lurking on the Traditional forum. Here's some photos from awhile back. It's painted Rustoleum hunter green now. View attachment 6319878 View attachment 6319881 View attachment 6319881

No 1-800 in mid 60s back , or was there a 4 or 5 digit number equal to 1-800?

I was hoping you were going to solve 35 across as OTIS. As in “Hot Rod Otis” IMG_9533.jpeg

    Well, of course we do:D. In 1965, the equivalent of a 1-800 number was a long-distance collect call or a 5-cent stamp:rolleyes:.

  24. I have the same exact one, I use the ol #2 pretty often out in the garage, I don't lick it though, never quite understood that one.

As far as the hot/street rod thing goes someone here informed me once that my truck was a street rod because it has a chrome steering column. Lol

Mark, I am surprised you don’t have a collection of sharpeners, lol. That’s a lot better looking than mine. IMG_0653.jpeg

street rod is a strange term that should have never been dreamed up. HOT ROD is the only term we need for HOT RODS.

When I had a job and got paid by the hour, I had plenty of time to do crossword puzzles. Now that I'm retired, not so much.
