True Story >>>>> My wife and I made the trek from Massachusetts to enjoy the GNRS this year. Sometime on Saturday I thought to myself, "Why am I taking all these pictures? the best ones are going to come from that guy on the HAMB - Tom Davidson". Guess what? I wasn't wrong! Thanks again for taking the best pictures of the event and uploading them for all of us to share!

    Tom Thank You,
I more than agree with those who say you are the greatest.
You say, one day, to make these beauties.
    Took me three to enjoy:D

Looking at Davison's photos are like looking at Rembrandt's, looking at mine reminds me of an Etch-a-Sketch.
Great pictures Tom! Very happy that you were there.

I must have been blind ,we spent two VERY full days at the show, and still @Tom davison pictures blow me away , going “oh I don’t remember that one or that one” . I need to watch the full length video again, it seems a long time ago video. Without @Tom davison coverage the rest of us miss out on so much excellent coverage.

Hi Tom, thanks for ALL the great images. As has already been pointed out, the patience to wait for an uncluttered shot, then to use the right perspective to capture it makes for great photos (and spend the time to post everything for the rest of us). As I said to a friend, pure car porn! On a side note, do you have a favorite lens when covering an event like this? Thanks, Dave

Looking at all the photos in all the different threads for this event
there are no crowds around the cars
do they limit the number of people in or is everyone just shooting pictures in off times

looks like a very laid back and very comfortable venue
Unlike the Detroit Autorama, which I like on Friday but Saturday and Sunday it get very crowded

Thanks, man! I use a 2.8 24-70 mm. That gives me a nice perspective range.

. . . Sunday gives you all the room you need, especially if you have a drive-in car before 8 a.m.
