Technical 55/56 Chevy car dash width

So a modification I've went back and forth on on both the 53 and 54 is swapping to a 55/56 dash. Not going to happen on the 53 as at this point the original is just right to me. But on the 54. I've seen some vintage pics of 53/54 Chevy's from the late fifties and early 60s recently that had that dash swap and I really dug on the look. And on my step daughters 49 Chevy truck we'd planned on a 53/54 Chevy car dash.....at least on the cluster area. And that'd free up the needed donor metal. I'm prepared for the metal work at the leading edge. But how wide is a 55/56 Chevy dash overall? Is it close enough to section in as is or would I need to narrow/widen it? The 55/56 measurement is all I need as I can measure the one on my 53 but if you have both measurements that'd still be helpful

 

My 56 Nomad is in the garage and at the ends near the doors it is 54.75 inches. Lots of places you can section it.

 

I have a 55 dash and a spare 53/54 dash.

 

When I come by in a week or so to bring you some $ I'll check them out

 

So I got 50" overall on my 53s dash. Could I hit you up for another dash measurement? Center of column to edge of dash. At the widest part I got 12"
