    Quoted below from link above...

"Jeff Beck, S&C Ford, San Francisco, 1968

(Beck) asked me if I knew where he could buy an American hot rod so I took him to the showroom of a car dealer who had one which was for sale. Jeff was immediately fascinated with the car and decided to buy it on the spot. I photographed him writing a check to the dealership. I later heard the car never made it to the UK - something about shipping or permit issues."

Where is it and did it ever get belts on the twin McCullochs?

I don't remember any of the names of the musicians of that time. I recall some of the bands. But I was there?

...it was said this Hotrod wore many guises/faces and apparently this was a winter ritual to remove the body and add some attachments...Hotrod snowmover...anyone who hand bombs the snow would understand...I have the luxury of a snowblower and I wouldn't have but they were different times.

Now if this was a survivor I'd say the VW kit would've been inspired by it...

Those early "corn binders" have such nice lines. As a kid in the early to mid-60s, my uncle had one like this 37' and I always salivated over it even in purely stock form.

That's Martin Croxton's Budd bodied 29 Dodge coupe now on 32 rails with Cadillac and T-5 running gear. Martin is a member of the Melbourne based Vultures club and yes Stogy, definitely down-under

...Race and its inspiration to the street or visas/versa, I actually think it worked both ways and its well known that many plated rides went right onto the track and back home again if Lady Luck was on their side...

The cut down doors no doubt saved many a gonad incident...

Mike I've seen this before. Despite its presence on AHRF I believe it is possibly on Kustomrama or maybe in the Square Roll Bars book...the pic is not taking me to source...

Wally Parks took the pic, Bob Stalkup is the owner and it is in Cheyenne, Wyoming...

The history & early pictures of the Bob Berkshire roadster make me like it even more. Sharp looking roadster - deserves a full restoration & showing. Love it

Well @AmishMike, I went snooping and while I haven't located it's whereabouts I found a connection to Hotrod Magazine so the Wally Parks connection is beyond just taking pictures...the NHRA and Highway Patrol of Cheyenne Wyoming helped form the Cheyenne Roadster Club...Bob Stalkup also was the Club Secretary...it is also worth noting his Model A based Roadster was jointly owned by a fella by the name of Bill Townes by the enlarged clip and description.

Their Roadster is also seen second from the right at Bonneville in the same story...
    It ran 115mph...

...So now we know a bit more about this Hotrod...I'm sure there's someone here from that region who may even remember it...

...Chrome or polished frame, chrome rims, a nice mix of additional chromed and painted details and combined with an aerospace canopy style plexi hood this plated Hotrod saw dual duty and surely stood out amongst the crowd in style especially considering it being the late 40s early 50s...I'm sure he was rightly proud of this go fast machine...
