A little more work than I'd tackle, but have to admire the vision and effort to go that route. Curious as to how much of an improvement that will make over available Ford heads.

That’s a lot of work, it is much easier to install 2V 351C heads and build a Boss 302 type engine.

We noticed the similarities with the 1st generation LS. My sons friend had one dis***embled in his shop and after comparing we removed the dowels and the LS head actually bolted to a 302 block. It was more of a curiosity thing since we already had aftermarket Heads for the 302 and it would have required valvetrain tweaking and water p***age modification to use the LS heads but it's interesting to see someone take it all the way.
It was interesting that the LS had a Y block configuration and similar bore spacing, bolt pattern, and valve layout as the small block Ford. So it appeared that GM took the best features of older Ford engines when developing the LS.
