Like many of us, I bet that kid grew up reading Green Eggs and Ham.

The 70s were fun, mostly. High school graduation and all that stuff.
The 80s were fun too. Cheap performance cars, and probably the most disposable income I ever had.
In the 90s I opened my own welding shop.
The later 1/2 of the the 2000-2010 decade was challenging.
The later 1/2 of the 2010 - 2020 decade was good, it brought retirement!
This decade, so far has started real rough, but appears to be improving.
The past is much better in my memory then it probably really was day to day. Our minds tend to block out the bad stuff.
I would rather keep the past in the past, and look forward to what is ahead.

Left to right, my father in law, my new wife, me, and my mother in law (they were divorced a long time by then). Our wedding day, May 8th, 1976. My mother in law had already been diagnosed with having MS, this was the last picture of her standing on her own. Both of her parents have passed.
Left to right, my dad, my wife, me, and my mom. Both of my parents have passed, mom was the last one, she passed last year. My wife and I are still married.

 

Oh, hell yes. Go back to Vietnam (69-70), looking forward to the two divorces...
