Here’s a link to a lot of pics https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attract...views-Alabama_Theatre-Birmingham_Alabama.html The place is amazing and mostly original. The organ sounds amazing and completely mechanical
Some ugly red mats for my merc, a flathead trans to sbc pilot bushing, carb linkage parts, chrome oil caps and a keychain thermometer
Didnt get to any sales today but I did still find a few things at a local antique/vintage store. -2 vintage lutz / diston small files with wood handles for $3 each...yes please ! -cool red cross gauze box unopened $3 -monkey tube patch tube $3 -Armstrong ignition set. Too nice to pass up
after years of having an "atlantic grasshopper" suitcase saved search on Ebay, I have finally bought one the correct size for my Micro power mini bike. These mini bikes came new with these cases but when I found my minibike there was no case with it
I believe it is only used for transporting the mini bike. There is no provision for carrying it on the bike
There was a swap meet this weekend (and an estate sale) and I found a few fun things I really didn't need. These bolt-on chrome scoops were too cool to pass up, although I have no idea what I'd ever use them for. Then I got a pair of these swell chrome air cleaners, which are made to bolt onto an SU carb (no idea what car they were used in) but it'd be easy enough to add the bottom of a helmet style air cleaner to them to put them on a 97 or 94. I really like the looks of these. And some assorted small BS including some Airflyte scripts for my '54 Nash Rambler project. But my favorite find of the weekend was this clock. It wasn't super cheap, and I walked away from it once, but I had to go back in and get it before the end of the day. You know what time it is? It's...
^^^^^^^^ Those SU airfilters could be for a real old early Mini, Healey Sprite or even a old Volvo Amazon. Oh, i forgot MG, ^^^^^^^^
This bloke reckons they are Triumph: 203131 air filter SU h6 dome triumph tr2 tr3 tr3a tr4 tr4a a-c sphinx | eBay I dunno, I had a BMC upbringing Cheers, Harv
That ad said they also fit Jag XK120 and I found a picture of what appears to be a properly restored car with those very filters, although mine are chromed and these are painted. Still, great to see where they would have been used! I really appreciate you finding that listing, I didn't have any luck finding these elsewhere.
Ah, Jag-wah. Reknowned for leaving terrible oil stains on the carpet of the carriage house. Dad had a Mk10 project car at one stage. The rust was too much though for the time he had, so it got sold on. He would routinely start it in the shed, no headers. Managed to set fire to spilled fuel at one stage... it's amazing what you can put out with a hessian bag and lots of cussing . Cheers, Harv
Bought this last summer. Finally got around to setting it up & playing on it for a couple hours. It's going to a neighbors house for his kids to use.
Got these trim rings and a pan and timing cover for the 283. Got to get the correct timing tab and a random louvred push in breather
Scored a few petrolina items today, at of all places an antique store. Wartime mobil gas advertisement...came out of a big "life" size magazine so it's larger than modern prints. Also got this socony vacuum "sova suds" glass bottle to replace the one I bought a few years back and dropped.
Hey @Smokeshow and @Moriarity That is some cool scores in regard to Mobil petrolina. So here is a real challenge to the both of you, in regards to the rare collectables. What you see here is a rare, quarter sized red token, that was to be put into the special coin slot, of the Mobil Pegasus flying red horse rides, that used to be at various Mobil gas stations back in the day. I bought this one at the Portland swap-meet for $1.00 years ago, it was the only one he had on his table display! Good luck in finding one of these. Thanks from Dennis.
