I have been following, like many of you, the build thread "32 5w Build- The $4k Swapmeet Body/The Old Chrome Coupe" by NealinCA. Now this post is not in reference to this specific thread, but any threads that I or you follow. To get to the point, I see a thread I want to follow and begin to follow to get regular updates as the are posted by the "thread owner". Then for some reason, I no longer get updates. Cruising down the General Discussion HAMB for other things to view, I stumble across NealinCA's Chrome Coupe thread referenced above. I open it up and find I have missed 10 days of posts that did not update automatically. I have had this happen several times before on other threads I am following. Just wonder if this is happening to others on this board? 60 Special

    Hello,
To prevent that (missing posts) from happening, bookmark the last post on the thread you want to follow. Then, it is up to you to click on the saved computer bookmark and you will get an updated post of that particular thread. The more threads you follow, the more bookmarks you need to make.

Each bookmark is going to be posted to your laptop or home computer google website under "all bookmarks" or "hidden bookmarks." Those are the two choices of where you can access any bookmark clicked and saved. YRMV

That was a nice thing for the HAMB, if you did follow a thread and this is what is posted on your HAMB search page when you scroll:

A nice set of glasses to show which ones you follow...

    Note:
On your computer bookmarks, if you have previous listed a bunch of bookmarks, your latest bookmark will go at the bottom of the list. So, in order to keep your HAMB bookmarks handy, you can create a folder labeled HAMB ARTICLES. The next time you create another HAMB thread to follow, place it in that specific folder and move the whole folder to the top of the long list of "all bookmarks."

Now, when you click on "all bookmarks," you won't have to scroll down through all of your posted bookmarks. The HAMB folder is right at the top of the list, for your perusal.

If a thread you follow is updated and you don't go see it, you don't get further updates until you view the thread. I find that's what happens to me.

I know if you get an email notice for a watched thread and you don't go look at it, then it wont keep sending new posts until you do.

Yes, I've noticed it and been very frustrated by it. I haven't experienced what the other guys are experiencing. I've literally opened up my page, found 1 update, read that, then scrolled through to find other one(s) in following and haven't received updates. And quite literally, the update should have been at the top of my list, not absent. But then others I receive numerous updates on until I finally open and read them. There's no consistency. I thought I was alone on this.

When you are in your Alerts page for threads, there is a column to the left. Click on Watched Treads and you can see the ones you missed (mostly).
