One of the coolest threads in the main board is the photoshop thread. I would love to bounce my off topic ideas off of these talented guys, but I dont want to overstep my bounds on the main page. Anyone willing to help a brother out? Btw, I am willing to pay a guy for services.

FWIW, I'd love to see one here...those Photoshop guru's on the Main board are spectacular.

I thought about starting one when I saw your post in the main PS thread. The question is whether the photoshoppers will hang out in both places.

Well, here is what I got. I want to
Move the cab back 5 inches, make the nose more flat and add 2 inches to the bottom. James D did this for me, I am stoked. Makes me want to start on it right away. IMG_2803.jpeg

Glad you like it. I'm totally here for OT photoshop stuff.
Though I wasn't really aware of this forum until today.

I don't want to waste anyone's time or talent, and certainly can't afford a rendering...BUT, I've long wanted to see SOMEBODY build/draw a '68-'70 Dodge Charger as a pinner wheeled, early seventies lowrider! Other than that, I've always loved Steve Stanford's rendering of a early '50's Plymouth Suburban done in vintage Cal Look VW Kombi style! I know I'm strange, but both ideas seem too plausible to me.

Cool look. I looked at a Kellison body that had a Cobra nose grafted on to it. If it would have been a better job and hadn't sat outside for a long time I would have brought it home.

I did too. Drug the trailer 3 1/2 hours each way just to leave it there. To fix it would have been line starting over the way they had hacked. The fiberglass was so brittle and falling apart I don’t think it would have made it home in one piece. Great concept poor execution followed by abandonment.

Bob McNulty's fabulous Kellison Astra won its class at Oakland. It ran an a modified Henry J chassis with a Ford Y-block, T-Bird wires wheels and a '59 Cadillac grille. My vote for best looking Kellison!

Love it!!!! The irony is I agree the '70 fits a lowrider vibe BETTER than '68-69..

I'm a little surprised Mark Kawano at Wheels are Everything hasn't done one of these yet. But his other MoPar photoshops are absolutely stellar! (yeah the Rambler isn't MoPar according to Hoyle but they did get bought by Chrysler, so...) 66 Charger Mark wheels.jpg 1968 plymouth wheels are everything.jpg 1966 ambassador wagon.jpg

Man, that early charger just works. That car was made to be a low rider.

Yep ever since I saw that I look at those cars with a new perspective.

Without a doubt, it changes the entire perspective of the early Charger body.

Having owned Mopars of this era, getting it low in photoshop is way easier then getting it that low in real life would be.

Even with the torsion bars dropped down, and the lower control arm bumper stops removed, the front end won't come down that low, and I'm not so sure there is enough space between the rear axle and the rear body structure to the get the rear that low.

"Made to be a low rider" would have a much larger meaning to actually make it work.

It does look cool though... 100_0792.JPG
This was as low as I could get my 70 Road Runner (same suspension as the 67 Chargers) and still drive it.

That Charger Bill Ganahl and crew recently built sits pretty low!

I didn't see this thread before now, and this morning I was about to start the exact same thing. Thanks @JimSibley!

    I sporadically daydream about a turbine-powered Rover P4, because JET1:
Rover P4T.jpg The size of the exhaust ducts and the low weight of the Allison/Rolls-Royce/MTU 250-C/T63 suggest a rear-engined layout. The long Kamm tail simplifies a transaxle etc. and keeps the compressor inlet out of the rear seat's central armrest.

Early Corvair 4-door roof because I like the Rover P5 4-door coupé, and Rover never applied that formula to the P4.

And everything looks better on Minilites.

It does - but to Gene's point it's on a Roadster Shop perimeter frame.
