Thanks for that @DrJekyllMrHyde That is a big job making the patterns, molding, casting then machining and flathead sump is not simple as it includes flywheel cover, starter mount and nose cone.

    Tuesday is done.

Started early morning (6.00) painted small stuff. Final primer sprayed.
Next pushed body to my "propainting room" and sprayed 1,5kg primer.

I was painted earlier firewall. It was OK, but when I was sanded it before Pearl Gold Acryl, I was done all wrong.
Inside I was not sanded, only wet on wet primer+acryl.
Outside I was sanded using 320 paper.... too rough.... Today I sanded it down using 500 paper.
Dash I sanded yesterday. Now firewall + dash are OK.

Now all parts are primer painted, except gas tank. There is few dent bottom of tank. I need to put 1-2kpa pressure inside and try to "pop up" dents out....

Today sanded bodyparts for final olive green paint.
This week I start to paint those.
Evening we finished Oskar´s 1976 Honda MonkeyZ50J. Next week comes my friend who is historical vehicle inspector. We already have one car (1965 GS Buick) and one another Honda Monkey historical vehicle registered.
Insurance is ve rod-coupe1061.jpg rod-coupe1062.jpg ry low after inspection...

First thing in the morning was that I washed tent inside using pressure washer.
When it was dry, I hang some stuff and painted.

first picture: Glasurit 22 2K green, other pics DuPont 2K H-D olive green. Wet to wet. Two round, not more.
Not professional quality, but good for Hot Rods.

Yesterday evening we get Mr. Oskar´s 2nd Honda Monkey ready.
Finland Honda import company changed some stuff when they imported those in 70´s.
Our max wieight for moped was 50kg, so they changed rubber headligh, plastic fenders,....

Tomorrow need to paint few parts and continue sanding.

    Sunday I just take easy.
Today, Monday, I get both doors ready. I will paint those tomorrow morning.
Last Saturday I paint doors inside and trunk lid inside. All those parts insides are covered.

Today it took so much time to help My son Oskar and his friend when they were put together Honda Monkey Benetton edition.

Just stumbled on this, very nice project. I have a question, but not on the project. Where did you find those posters of Henry Flesen? I know the books he wrote but could not find those large posters, really cool. Thanks for any feedback.

    Hello,
I have ordered those from local company who is made those. Cloth banners.
I have one more 2meter x 6meter black and white colour. Pic from 40´s salt lake race.

One I bring to my friends hot rod shop wall in Orange CA (Reids Rod Parts, Ashley Cunningham). I bought him 14years very much stuff to Finland and Europe. 2017 I visit last time there in CA, I left him one big black and white cloth banner. Early 50´s drag racing in some of CA airfield.

    Rgds,AULIS

nb. And I have one California beach banner which I used 2014 in Helsinki ACS (American Car Show) where I had 2 x 1932 roadster in our Hot Rod magazine (V8 magazine) stand.

    Hello, Thank You Sir.
I think that colour is also from RAL -colour sheet. Those are simple colours.
That roadster I bought like damaged (trafic accident) from Orange CA. Rod Bods steel body, I think that company is closed now a days? Not so good quality than Brookville. I had wide 5 brakes, wheels, Engine, tranny.... When Roadster was in CA it was more "street rod" New frame, SBC, TH350, 8", disc brakes.... I bought only damaged body and built car around that in 4months.

I made that roadster so that You can bolt on or remove fenders and running boards in 1hour. Fenderless or fender model. There was top when body arrived, It followed car, I hate those "old men tops",... and fenders... but easier sell with those...

Note, There is salt flat banner on wall.

Car is sold to Sweden 10y ago.

I liked it too. "GreenGray". You need to compare RAL colour sheet and my pictures.
    You find it there.

My ex 5w coupe colour was 7038.
I think this roadster colour was 7033 ?

Love your build - all of them. Recently there was a HAMB post about electric supercharger. Realize your blower mainly for looks but do you have any idea of how many pounds of boost it can produce? At what rpm does boost start, & tough question, how much does it raise air temperature into the engine? Thanks for any help you can provide
