The orange engine is missing the plug wire covers on the valve covers, which really do make the engine look good.
Does it come with the intake manifold?

Also, missing pulleys and brackets will be a problem, and add more money or work outlay. It's really worth looking around for every loose bit that might be laying about in the area, when buying these engines.

The 340 already has the blower setup and is a very strong runner. You better have a spare pair of shorts with you if I hit the go pedal kind of strong. This hemi was something that crossed my path and I have to give it a serious look.

Why not think about building a Model A coupe to put it in and show it off?

I am a fan of my hemi but the horses you want will be very expensive with the hemi and longevity will be short unless refreshed often. Slightly over a horse per cubic inch seems to be where OEM length of reliability can shorten. As always, your results may vary.

After trying to figure out exactly what engine it is and coming to the conclusion it is a 354 truck block bored to 331 specs and figuring in the cost to get the HP I want I have decided to p*** on it. If it was a 392 I would be all over it though. Thanks for all the help everybody!

A warranty 354 bored to 331 would have nice thick cyl walls for that blower....
