Beautiful job! Your speedometer cable will be on its way tomorrow. When it comes time to get speedometer calibration dialed in, we can walk through that together and get it all dialed in.

The price of some of those tubes makes you want to just go for it, but it's one of those things where practice makes perfect. Cutting the tip just right, moving the tip while squeezing the handle, it's a skill. If the stuff is big bucks, buy a cheap counterpart and write your name a few times to get the hang of it.
Those plastic scrapers are going to be the tool of choice to get things cleaned off if it doesn't peel well.

Why didn't you tool the sealer before it set up?

It’s actually easier to tidy it up after it sets

I actually applied the sealant to the wood frame to act as a”gasket “ to seal the wood to the roof. Any sealant on the inboard side of the frame will be covered by the steel insert. I’ll get the blobs cleaned up and start to fit the steel roof insert which will be covered to appear stock.

Got the deck lid on and latch installed. Look ma, no handle. I got a pick your nose (part) with a built in popper. Cable release IMG_7474.jpeg IMG_7485.jpeg IMG_7482.jpeg IMG_7483.jpeg IMG_7486.jpeg IMG_7473.jpeg IMG_7484.jpeg
