I used to be brand loyal when I was younger it started with Fords then Mopars, Chevrolet, Pontiac, back to Fords now toss in a couple of GMC’s and a few more Fords……..yeah you get the idea :p:p:p If it’s got a motor and no newer than the early 80’s I like them all.

  2. One of my first working on cars adventure came at age 15. I was helping am older friend put a used automatic transmission in a Ford wagon.

Up it went, could not get a bolt started, took it down, looked at it... rinse, repeat. Finally someone comes along and enlightens us that Ford used multiple bolt patterns.

FoMoCo products have featured in my life more than any other brand - hence my car. However, should time and money make it possible, there'd be cars from almost all the American car makers in my dream garage, as well as a few Japanese and maybe one or two British vehicles... OK, one Audi also.

No Koreans, Chinese or any EV and nothing built after 2018 - those all have an in-built spy and here in the EU there's already have too much of governments pushing their noses into our affairs.

  4. I've owned em all. Chevys, Fords, Mopars, imports. Old stuff, newer stuff. I like it all.
I like the the old school hotrod stuff the most, that's why I'm here. This is pretty much the only place I post on the internet anymore.

Loyalty to a corporation, what a concept.......

I'm only a Chevrolet guy...wait, that could be a lie.

To be honest, I grew up strictly GM since that is who put food on the table through my dad's job for 28 years. But, I obviously haven't stuck with that considering the brands at the house even now which would include Chevrolet, GMC, Jaguar, Ford, Mercury, Chrysler, Mini, Harley, Yamaha, etc. If I listed all the brands of stuff I have owned, the list would be much longer. I pretty much just like old stuff anymore. And, I can basically care less about any late model vehicles. I kind of hate that considering my upbringing and even the fact that my brother works for GM and his wife works for Chrysler. But, I have absolutely no interest in spending money on anything built in the last 25 years or so at least for myself. Now...I do have some later model stuff, but that is so my wife will have something reliable to drive.

And luckily neither one will bolt directly onto your 396!

  8. As far as Hot Rods ~ I'm a Ford guy through & through and have been most of my life, Model A's, Deuces & 40 Fords. and several 50's Fords - A 1950 and a couple of '54 Fords.

I don't have a problem with different manufacturers, I just prefer Fords for myself, if that makes me a snob in your book, so be it. HRP
