Technical Oil Seal

    Engine crankshaft oil seal CR17261 for 1.750 diameter. I have to remove some material from the shaft to claean it. Used to have a book that gave tolerance for shaft wear, think it [seal] could handle 1.730? Free state ID is about 1.685 and it has an ID spring.

    I would SKF Speedi Sleeve it and make it a little bigger than 1.750. I pulled my 302 powered inboard ski boat apart 3! times before I Speedi Sleeved it. Wished I done it the first time…finally doesn’t leak anymore.
