Working on getting this old quick change in the car. I thought I could keep the stock 32 crossmember and spring ,but not any clearance . So I’m gonna pull the body and swap to model A stuff. Put your spring in the front and it will work fine.

Spring in front of axle? Not behind? That would make the rear axle back way too far. Wheels would be off a mile on the body,it’s already back a bit IMG_6135.jpeg

Also the rear frame has been pie cut at one time as it was close to the crossmember with the stock 32 banjo

What you need is a model A cross member and a model A spring.

I have one it’s in the pic. I thought it would work without it. This my first 30’s car.

IMG_6347.jpeg Getting ready to pull the body I took the trunk off and washed it with an SOS pad. I’ve never hit it with water yet. Not really sure it’s been washed in a very long time. I think some of this white paint is house paint. Lol. It comes off easy. I’m trying to be gentle. The body is pretty rough on this old thing and has been all torch welded together so I have no plans to restore it. Just continue to improve I hope! IMG_6348.jpeg

I like the "As Found" look, the world has plenty of shiny finished '32's.
