I'm having a 354 Hemi built for my Model A to replace the SBC that's in there. The Hemi is a much larger engine and space will be tight. A friend has a new in the box alternator that he's giving me, it originally fit his old 2001 Suzuki Vitara 2.0 that he got rid of long go.
I know the swaps to these smaller alternators are done all the time. This alternator is supposed to be good for 75 amps, which is much more than I need. The problem is that it has a serpentine belt pulley on it. Does anyone know of a V belt pulley that will fit it and perhaps even where to get one from?
The alternator on the car now is a regular AC Delco GM unit so I'm not anticipating any wiring issues with it going on. If anyone has any info at all on this swap, that would be greatly appreciated.

My guess would be you would have to pull the pulley off and measure the shaft diameter and then start comparing diameters with other pulleys.

This is where I would start.

Some cars used a serpentine belt as the main belt but used a V belt for secondary drive, may be able to find something that way...

Try checking out a John Deere 2020A Progator. They use those small alternators with a V belt. Not sure if the shaft size will be the same.

Try to get a shaft diameter and key size. VPK is a 17mm bore for AMR500 superchargers.

~$25 from AliExpress, $90 on Ebay. Samurai's used V belts. Not sure what size. You could bore and key any solid pulley from a smaller size. Individual key broaches are not that expensive. Mike

Find the shaft OD and search for a v belt pulley with that size.

Every auto electric shop has a box full of pulleys under the work bench. Your local shop should be able to fit one cheap.

Bet the alternator is the same as an old Samurai but the Sam would have a v belt
