    Hey Guy’s,
    I need to find a machine shop in the Oakland, CA area. Or another Hamber who can help me out with my 235 Chevy head. I have an old timer who is helping build a hopped up motor. But his machinist passed away a few years back. I want to open up the intake ports on my head. This has to be a machinist not an auto machinist - I already have him.
    I want to open up the intake ports to 1.490. Thanks, I appreciate the help.

    A competent auto machinist with the correct cutter could accomplish that with his seat and guide machine.

    Google Oakland California Automotive Machine Shops and you will get a 1/2 dozen to choose from.
    Good Luck.

    I am out of commission for probably 2 months.

    I was involved in a hit and run accident last Thursday night. A minivan crossed the double yellow line, and hit me head on, while I was riding my bicycle. I'm back in a wheelchair.

    I used a guy in Fresno a couple years ago. Not very close to you, but I could see if I can find his name. Kind of a greaseball but e got the job done. Did the whole head to McGurk specs.

    Hey, Gimpy;
    Hope you're not hurt too bad, n heal well & quickly.
    Marcus...
    Btw, Not to be an ass - I'm nicely serious - Does this give/get you the opportunity to do the small easy(detail, etc) things for the personal hotrod in the avatar? Hopefully, you can access the machineshop, or at least the garage, safely. Or, at least recharge your body & mind.
    If it were me, the house/garage would not afford that opportunity. ;( .
