    Factory suicides here, no issues at all. I have adjusted the striker plate and get full engagement of the wedge. 2 clicks completely. No issues at all.

    I think were alot of cars get into issues is the door and striker are not aligned correctly and if you don't get 2 full clicks when closing doors, it's not in deep enough. Other issue I have seen is body wood is gone, and its twisting with the frame on all the bumps. Make sure you have good bumpers on the doors also, as they put a little back pressure against the lock also and allow the door to not bounce around.

    I agree with Stub, adjusted properly no issues with my 33.

    I'll use sheet metal screws to attach them to doors and body, and doubt if there's an emergency that personnel can't yank hard enough to either pull screws or break the latches. I'm not worried anyway.

    I think it's worthwhile to have the pin element in the door jamb and not in the door. Imagine the door is open, the pin extended and then the door closed. I'd rather damage the inner part of the door than the outside of the cowl area.

    I have Carolina Customs manually operated latches. I've got wiring to electrify them installed but not got around to sorting actuators yet. If driving solo it's quite a stretch to latch the passenger door, hence the thought of electrification.

    If you want a somewhat traditional hot rod type of thing lots of aircraft stuff to modify. I plan to fab these up for my roadster.

  9. The locks about are the type is what the late Larry Roller (3WLarry) used in his '32. HRP
