I need a double filament socket for turn signal or stop light. 1157 type, but I need shallow one, or 90Deg type? any ideas?

    Dorman catalogue

Metal you can modify with file ,
Older ones change pig tail around to your needs ,
    Plastic options also,

  6. yes and the junk yards are full of them

  7. Sadly, the junk yards I grew up with in this area have turned into recycling/crushing yards.

A guy can no longer roam aimlessly through rows of cars on a Saturday morning looking for parts like I did when I was a teenager. HRP

Modern, non-led tail lights have plastic sockets and usually quite shallow. Check what's on your daily driver

  11. If you have the metal or plastic with correct side pins just change to a two pin card

I got these AmericanAutowire sockets from Summit. You don’t have to use the hold down plates, but they turned out to be a life saver for my buggered up tail lights. I can’t get a good measurement on them installed, but the are not as deep as the original FoMoCo socket…

Look into someone that has an early Cougar sitting 90 * 1157 socket in the tail lights , 6 of them

Holley LED 1157. Seem to be pretty bright, but I have not got it out of the garage yet to confirm.

I just bought some repair 1157 sockets at NAPA for mine. They came with 6" leads attached. Once I snapped them in I bent over a few ot the little clips as I don't plan on replacing them, and wanted them to stay put.
