How come there are so many of these Daytona/Superbirds laying around rusting away? They not worth anything.

They were not highly sought after cars when they were new, Chrysler had some issues selling all of them when they were new. A guy could have picked one up pretty cheap towards the end of 1970. For all we know, all the Mopar pictures came from a single website from years ago.

As usual, it seems like there is a much higher % of Mopars posted here then the other brands. Especially when you consider the Chrysler was the #3 seller in the US at the time, but that number included both Dodge and Plymouth, but the other brands (Ford, Mercury, Olds, Chevy, Pontiac, Buick, and on, and on) were all listed as separate brands.

Lots of wood in those pre WWII Renault, they disintegrate very easily.

A toasted MGB around Christmas there's a "tradition" in France amongst hoodlums to go out and burn cars, some take advantage of this for insurance fraud. So around certain neighborhood you end up with a lot of burned cars who end up at the impound lot before the insurances send them to the crusher.

that is sad.. always wanted to build a 70-71 torino with a boss 9 as ford should have from the factory. that would have been an epic badass.
