@j hansen @straykatkustoms Thanks fellas! That's actually my car. Didn't know if I shared it before. Previous owner had it since 1953, it's still packing the 322 Nailhead he put in it, which I'm currently freshening up (pic from last night, just about done). Ended up getting it from his "kids" after his passing, who are in their 70s. Here he is with it back then with his first trophy, you can see the hood corners were already done, as well as the headlights.
Wow, I didn't think it could get any kooler. Boy was I wrong.... Fun to see Mercs with kool history. Thanks for sharing the background info. You are Blessed to own a special Merc.
Hey thanks man, and I do feel very, very blessed that its mine. Just fell into my lap, divine intervention. A '49-'51 has been my dream car forever....I'll make a thread on the car and the story this spring once I get the engine all tidied up. Sure do appreciate everyone's positive feedback on it.
