Hot Rods A unique to me flathead 6

    IMG_0649.jpeg Anyone ever seen a flathead six like this one. This is all that there was left of it.

    never seen the cylinders separate from the crankcase before.

    Not uncommon on early British cars to have an iron block and aluminium crankcase. Rolls Royce Silver Ghosts are like that. That isn’t one of those though.

    Not uncommon at all in early motors. Thats why it was such a milestone when Henry figured out how to cast the v8 block in one piece

    I believe it is off of a 30’s Lincoln v12. Makes since since the person had a lot of early v8 parts also.

    Might be the earlier big Lincoln V12. IIRC, It had exhaust and intake on inside of the Vee..

    IIRC, the Lincoln Zephyrs I've seen had iron heads. The Lincoln Zephyr also had intake and exhaust on opposite sides.
    OEM aluminum heads on flatheads were very uncommon.
