Bumping this back up as I too am looking for a source for the smaller diameter 4 barrel mushroom air cleaner, I have had a few in the past but can't seem to find a match for the one I have left.

Anyone have a source in 2023 for the small dual quad ones like the one in the last post? It seem Moon has quit making them. Would like to find 2.

These are Harley Davidson stockers that had the cutout at the top for the Keihen carburetor. Work good for close dual quads. Charlie Price bases and Empi filters. IMG_0193.jpeg

I bought one years ago, like 15 or more, I’ll check it out in my stockpile when I go home for Thanksgiving. If it is what you are looking for then maybe we can cut a deal. I’d rather trade something than cash if you’re down.

I had one of the original Stelling and Helling 11 inch or so air cleaners on my 55 Buick in 1966 that I bought off the discount table at B&B auto parts on Rainier Avenue in Renton Wa. It got stolen off my engine in the parking lot at work the night after I fixed my hood hinge and the hood no longer knocked someone who didn't know about it down. By far the best looking air cleaner I ever owned.
I think I have one of those Harley tops in my stash somewhere that I picked up at a swap meet or yard sale.

  8. First one is the one on my 53 Bel Air I got from good speed USA for like $65. Second pic is from a 1960 hot rod magazine. I'm happy lol IMG_2023-09-23-15-24-38-322.jpg IMG_2023-09-25-18-44-53-433.jpg

Why is it paint and air cleaners were 2 of the hardest decisions in my build?

Ok Chevy Pope, I like the air cleaner, but I’m really curious about the speed secret on the inner fender panel.

  12. The remote starter solenoid? Supposedly supposed to help with hot starts. I did it because it meant only the battery cable went under the manifold to the starter. Plus if I ever have to jump the solenoid I don't have to get on the ground lol

  13. Same people I mentioned sell this one. I saw you wanted a smaller one. I plan on getting a second one to use on a dual quad setup IMG_2023-08-11-17-06-48-914.jpg

Years ago I got a pair for the 2-4's on my 348 and they also had other sizes. The ones I got were good quality.

I have had this 15” original forever, never have come across another in the flesh like it. Sure wish somebody would repo it. 96F77370-5419-4374-BA38-4E08BC26DF1F.jpeg 0A9F5C3B-7304-4446-B189-533C70BD3397.jpeg

Reminds me of when students did some metal spinning in our high school metal shop by hand
on a wood lathe. Students were amazed at what they could do.

Does anyone have any of these?
I've been a bit of a Hellings & Stellings addict lately
I'd like to do a small series of reproductions.

Hi, this is David Wolk at Wolk Design. I’ve been on HAMB for a long time, I look at the site daily but haven’t actively participated.

We (my brother James and I) make the Stelling and Hellings style air filters in limited quan***ies. The demand for them is not what it used to be. We keep a small inventory or make them as we get request.

We make sizes for multi-carb 2 bbl, dual 4bbl , and single 4bbl. They are made here in the USA. You can see our Wolk Design air filters on our Instagram page: wolk_design_llc or Facebook at Wolk Design LLC.

If you’re not on either of those sites message me here and I can give you my phone number. Let me know if we can help.

I started following you on IG because I heard you were building some, but never did see anything on IG. Of course, I’m not really all that savvy on social media, so there’s that…

You have to scroll way down on his feed to see them, and there are some buried in some of the multiple photos posts he's made.

Yeah, I post a lot of car related stuff we do. If you scroll down a ways, you'll see air filter photos. I'm not really good at promoting our products.
