Hi all. My name is Justin and I'm new to the group. I've been into cars all my life. My father has owned a body shop for 27 years and I spent nearly all of my youth there. I've had lots of cars but mostly 60s and 70s up to this point. 67 LeMans, 76 Formula Firebird, 77 Grand Prix, 56 Chevy big window PU to name a few. Found this site the other day while trying to sell some parts and it looks cool.
I've got daughters living in Grinnell and Iowa City and I've lived in both places, too. Welcome to the HAMB
Hippies?... true! Still was a great place to grow up... Never would love hot rods like I do if it weren't for where I grew up!
Welcome to the HAMB from an actual current resedent of Iowa!! I also grew up in Iowa City. I moved 15 miles south to get out of Johnson County and away from all of the car haters up there. The car haters are not the Hippies (I like them). The car haters are the people that wig out over anything that could possibly have any affect on their ever increasing property value. I can see you are into Pontiacs as am I. I have a 67 Bonneville anbulance and a 69 Bonneville convertible. Carmak Riverside, Iowa
Isn't Riverside the home of Captain Kirk? Anyway my dad lives in Mu****ine, I went to school in Coralvile(Iowa City) Iowa for a while then Hiawatha (Cedar Rapids). I am also a newb to this sight as you can see. I went to Highschool in the Des Moines area. Other than Kansas, Iowa is one of the better place to find old unmolested cars. My uncle had a cople early thirties olds in his barn and they were there till the owner died. I know of at least four other good old cars sitting in family barns right now. Most are toio new for these boards, and of course as with anything a "City Slicker" likes, it's not for sale. Later Joe
