    My grandma with her 40 tudor when it was pretty much new. She drove it from southern Illinois to New York a few times during the war to see my grandpa that was in the navy when he was on leave. Now, people are afraid to drive their old cars sometimes. :rolleyes: She did it by herself in her early 20's multiple times. :D This could be some of where I get my love for road trips and adventures.

    The big difference is back then, the cars were fairly new and every gas station had a mechanic on duty. They also pumped your gas, checked your oil, checked your tire pressure and cleaned your windshield.

    True, but I still say some folks need to drive their old cars more. :D
