I was at an old hot rodders house this afternoon and he gave me these old Lund brand headlamps. Seem like a cool br*** head lamp with a para beam but I’ve never heard of them before. I’m building a prewar 32 and thought these might fit the bill. Anyone seen these before or know anything about them. Google searches turned up nothing which seemed odd. Thanks!
Those are neat! The lense makes me think European, the flange on the stud mount makes me think airplane
The only thing I can find is that they were produced starting in the teens through the 50s by Ted Lund who raced them on his MG in LeMans (1960 I think). I'm in love with them but man there just isn't any info out there.
Hey @Troubadour85 Those are indeed a great set of lights, good score indeed. So now that you have them, deftly open them up, to see what type of bulb they use as far as the way the bulb goes into the socket. Here is a link that shows the exact same type that you have, as they were on Ted Lund's M.G.A. https://www.mgexp.com/forum/mga-forum.2/ted-lund-and-lund-lamps.926217/page-2 Just a heads up, when you post more pictures of them, always use the "LARGE" format, rather than the thumbnail, it lets us all get a better look up close, at what you are displaying. Thanks from Dennis.
From another forum https://www.mgexp.com/forum/mga-forum.2/ted-lund-and-lund-lamps.926217/ post 12 is interesting……
Thanks everyone I actually reached out to the person mentioned in the forum link you provided and learned quite a bit more and now have a copy of the original tech information and sales brochures. Not sure what I’m doing with them just yet but certainly learning something new today.
From my searches I can’t find any other evidence of these on the internet so here are some pictures of the lamps apart. They have 12 volt 666 Mazda bulbs for both 48 and 24 watt. I hope these help.
