So Rad Notch

Thanks to Washburn Metalworks in Orange, CA, for fixing the pan. Back in December, after pulling the body off the pan, I discovered that it was bent. Washburn has the frame fixtures to pull it straight, so they were able to install the new pan sections and duplicate the factory spot welds. I dropped it off in December while I was out in CA for the last Mooneyes Christmas party at Irwindale and picked it up while I was out for GNRS at the end of January.

Now to bolt it all back together and start the suspension mock up and fabrication.

 

The rear apron is done, and the replacement starts on the front apron.

 

I was just thinking about this thread this morning....

 

I know a guy over here in Germany with a 2.7 Porsche flat six in a Notch. 190hp or so pushes it along pretty well.
I always wanted a flat six in one of these or a Fastie, but the price of anything old and Porsche nowadays means it'd be financial suicide.

 

I would love to do a 911 drivetrain in it. It's big money for a drivetrain like that. A couple around here in the States are done that way.
