1952-59 Ford Measurement needed 1955-56 dogdish caps

Can someone help out with a measurement on these caps on the diameter in this red area?

 

Most caps have a known outer diameter, 10.25" I believe. Depending on how accurate you want to be, just scale it from the picture.

 

According to my calibrated eyeball the distance across the red portion of my hubcap is 4.350". Hope this helps! Mark
