Looking great! Keep it up. You'll be there in no time and have tremendous pride in bringing this one back to life.
Wow Best of luck in bringing this back. You must have some friendly neighbors as I would be cited by Zoning guy in my area Tom Woodbury CT
Absolutely Amazing work...I envy you guys that can do the metal...I'm an engine/ mechanical/electrical/ finish guy...didn't need much metal on corvette work.... following along this journey too!!!!
Totally admire the rebirth of a forgotten warrior...quite amazing to witness...great work @Travis latour.
Nice car, and you do nice work. However, I don't see the frame blocked to be level in any photos. If the body is tweeked and you weld it together like that, it will stay tweeked, no? I once welded a steel floor in a 22' flatbed that was wood. I had it sitting on 3 55gal drums, for the 4th corner just blocked up to be close enough, within an inch. That bed never sat flat unless it had a load on it and would bounce making noise down the road when empty. An inch in 22' you would think would settle down, but no, never did. Keep posting, I'll check it out on your youtube.
It really boggles the mind how many sought after 32 bodies were relegated to the iron pile, left behind the barn etc. yet thankfully later rediscovered by someone with the vision & talent to bring them back to life.
Keep plugging along. I finally kicked myself in the ass to start working on mine. Hit the milestone of having latching doors today. Still a long road but making one of many turns.
Thank you all for the inspiring words, gotta get back on it soon, have been focused on my roadster project at the moment but ill be back on it! ive been collecting some good parts for it.
Watched this build on YouTube and was impressed to say the least…your talent is even better conveyed when seen on video!!!
Love it when I see all the hard work you and wife have put in on saving this hot rod. Your work is outstanding. My 3 window was a mate to this one. But after 2 years of hard work on it turned out to be a killer hot rod. Keep on keeping on. We all are watching it come together.
