That T is awesome! The perfect amount of mods and the perfect amount of restraint. They got it right. Did it get radials swapped on to it at the show? Hope it’s still around.
There seems to be a revival of 50s Ts. The recent creation of the 55 Anderegg AMBR tribute car - https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...orial-build-and-info-ambr-1955.415187/page-20 I followed the building of a new Tweedy Pie (a model I built as a kid) on YouTube. It was also a great hit at this years GN Roadster Show.
I also run a 23-25 turtle deck with the later T roadster body, I like how this one appears to have a mirrored rolled pan, looks like maybe another turtle deck mounted upside down under the top one. Otherwise the deck seems too small for the later T tub, out of proportion. I made mine wider but I like how they did this one, adds some substance to it.
or did it roll in on round tires and swapped to the old for the display I'd love to find something like that, too cool for school
That’s my kind of rod. Agreed with the turtle deck. I didn’t think it would work, but it looks pretty good on this one. Also, I believe those wheels are period correct. Nowadays, current routes don’t go for the wire wheels, but there was a time when they were very popular. I’m guessing these are stock Buick wheels from the 50s.
