I just picked this 28/29 coupe body up. It looks like I’ll have some assembling to do, my question is does anyone have or know of a place to look for for an exploded body diagram? Just something I can look at to make sure I’m accurately assembling it

Now that looks like an adventure! There’s a bunch of you tube channeled that have covered this sort of stuff, my first look would be to bennets customs. But as far as diagrams they are pretty easy to find in all the BBC common model A books or by searching stuff like “model A wood kit diagram “ etc.

what year/ body style is it? I can see what I have in my books. I’m guessing 28/9 coupe from what I can see.

id probably try to get the subrails sorted and then build up

You’re correct it’s a 28/9 coupe. I’ll do some quick searches on YouTube. Thank you for the idea

You post where you live, there might be someone here in your area that has one you can look at.

I know someone in my area with a few you could look at. Probably has multiples of any parts you might be missing.

  7. See if you can find a local coupe and get some pictures, if not maybe find someone to send you some.
Then set the frame square & level on some stands; bolt the sub-rails down, next the cowl frame and it should go pretty good from there.

Now that we know you are in Omaha. If you want to make the 2-1/2 hour drive over to my place I have a body you can look at and take measurements from. And I can show you all the little brackets you are probably missing (might even have extras available).

Ok fellas I’m making a bit of progress but I’m wondering if these pieces were used on 28/29 coupes and I’d so what are they called? Thanks for all the help so far. I’ll post some pics of my progress tomorrow when I get to the garage

I did a post "time to give back", which shows my 1928 model a coupe assembly.

Looks like the above the door brace. Will have thick wood bolted to the top of it and a trim piece screwed in from below.
