    First drives are always nerve-racking!!
Finding all the characteristics of a new build or combo:eek:
Stay up Late pass your bedtime
Take a ride for shakedown with no traffic or go up to the Convention center parking lot
Make laps around the parking lot :D

Fuck yeah dude! If I saw that thing go buy I would 100% turn around and chase ya down. Wowza!

also if your videos are more than 30 seconds long and you film in land scape instead of portrait the videos will imbed in the post with a player instead of having to click the link.

congrats man! Shit looks straight out of a Norwell illustration!

Congratulations! For every finished build there must be 3-4 that are unfinished. Looks fantastic. Bob

  11. Yes! Fortunately @Dino 64 had my back.
Tell him his transmission shifts nicely.

Thanks everyone, but gotta fix some issues before venturing beyond the 'hood:

    - Check the drag link/pitman arm geometry; the car turns farther right than left.o_O
    - Fine tune the adjustable brake proportioning valve.
    - Either narrow both brake & gas pedals, or move the brake pedal pad away from the gas pedal. My right foot accidentally stomped on both... twice.
    - Lower the seat more for better visibility.
    - Tighten the brake light actuator lever.

  12. ....Not completely sure which pedal pads you are using without looking back in your posts, but someone makes rectangular ones and someone also makes ones (round) with the mounting stud off-set. These can free up some room and avoid the scary hitting both pedals at once scenario.

Great job Gary! Very happy for you! Your car is just plain BITCHN’ !!!

  16. Watch that throttle cable sawing through that aluminum ferrel, might need to extend that upper gas pedal arm so it centers the cable out the hole more.

Fantastic, must be a great feeling, even if there are some teething problems, what an achievement

  18. I took a break from driving to install the windshield & back glass.

Templates are 1/4" pegboard & plywood scraps.
    20250222_163812~2.jpg 20250222_145218~2.jpg

My local "Auto Glass Express" cut the clear laminated glass....

.... then glued their windshield into my powdercoated frame.

I inadvertently cut the 1-piece side & bottom gasket into 3 pieces when beveling it's corners.

They're glued in place with 3M black super weatherstrip adhesive and binder clips.

I attached the frame to the header with the top gasket in place, but that caused the bottom of the frame to rub the cowl paint, so I removed the gasket and everything fits nicely.

We'll see how watertight it is. 20250329_082921~2.jpg
